Bio: Navaratnam Partheeban is a veterinarian, farmer, and passionate advocate for equity and representation in agriculture. His lived experience as a person of colour navigating rural spaces has fuelled his mission to make farming more inclusive, visible, and accessible for underrepresented communities.

With over a decade of experience in the veterinary and agricultural industries, Theeb has worked across the UK as a large-animal vet, lecturer, and agricultural advisor. He is the co-founder of Culture Roots Collective, a grassroots hub amplifying the voices, stories, and contributions of Black and people of colour (BPOC) within food, farming, and rural life. Through this platform, he helps shine a light on those who have historically been excluded from mainstream agricultural narratives.

At Culture Roots Collective, Theeb leads on strategic direction and community engagement, creating spaces for collaboration, celebration, and critical conversation. Whether hosting workshops, advising policymakers, or simply sharing stories from the field, his work bridges the gap between tradition and innovation, heritage and change.

Theeb is committed to transforming the agricultural landscape in the UK—both literally and figuratively—by nurturing a future where diversity is rooted in the soil.
