Amit has worked in the voluntary sector for over 15 years, focussing on food justice, access, tackling inequalities and supporting people and communities to come together and take ownership of their local food systems. His experience spans coordinating emergency food responses and supporting community-led initiatives, to building networks that strengthen collaboration across organisations and regions.

Much of this work has centred on developing programmes that use food as a connector - tackling isolation, celebrating diversity, and fostering a sense of belonging and shared identity. Amit now works with a multidisciplinary team across the UK to build more resilient supply chains, transform local food environments, and empower changemakers to address some of the biggest challenges within our current food system.
