Malaika has spent 8 years in the charity sector advocating for a circular economy and a just food system. Her roles have included chairing global networks; delivering behavioural change campaigns on reducing food waste; implementing projects to address food insecurity; and campaigning for policy change to deliver a more sustainable food and packaging system. At WRAP, Mailaka works to create a thriving, sustainable world for the benefit of the climate, nature and people.

She has an MSc from SOAS covering Global Commodity Chains, Climate Policy, Food, & Rural Poverty, and Food & Environment, and has a Circular Economy Masterclass qualification from the Ellen McArthur Foundation and a Food Systems Thinking qualification from IFSTAL.
