Varshini is a third-year veterinary medicine student at the Royal Veterinary College, and president of the Animal Aspirations group. They grew up in India and moved to London for university. She has always felt that the exposure and accessibility to any animal-related profession were much lower in India, which mirrors the experience of students from minority communities in the UK. She hopes to have a positive impact on the sector by being visible and taking up opportunities.
