Adeel is clinician, educator and an equity, diversity and inclusion advocate. He is a specialist in large animal internal medicine at the University of Nottingham, School of Veterinary Medicine and Science. Here he has various roles which include leading the clinical curriculum, teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students and provides a referral equine internal medicine service at Pool House Equine Hospital. His clinical interests include equine cardiology, neonatology and critical care.

Adeels work with in EDI extends to various committee roles. He is a part of the EDI committees at the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM), British Equine Veterinary Association (BEVA) and British Horse Society (BHS). More recently he has focused his work on enhancing the experiences of Muslims in the veterinary profession through various means. One of which is the veterinary Muslim Fellowship which he founded.

The veterinary Muslim fellowship is a network and community created to support Muslim veterinarians, nurses and respective students in the veterinary profession.
